David Aiken was the only Harrier at the Malhamdale challenge this weekend, a 22 mile run route which is undulating (hilly!) with 1650 feet of ascent incorporating a mix of hard-packed rocky trails, boggy sections, limestone rocks and grassy tracks. Club Chairman Martin Phillips has decided to step down from his role to allow for newer blood to take up the reigns. Martin has been fantastic for the club and has been integral in the change of direction the club has taken over the last year or two. Thank you for everything you have done
The wet conditions didn’t prevent more Harriers PBs being broken at the Mermaid 10k race on the sea front at Marske. Paul Cook was the first Harrier to finish in a PB of 36:04, followed by Peter Armstrong in 39:13 – both looking on track with their preparation for London Marathon at the end of
The Club have appointed Mark Tallon and Linda Noble to lead our senior teams into the season. Both Mark and Linda have a wealth of experience within athletics and will help get our teams organised which hopefully increase the numbers at events. Good luck, you have everyone’s support!
