Cook home first but Barlow and Green clean up

We had a small number of Harriers at the Sheffield Half Marathon, a race which is in three parts, a five to six mile up section, in which there is a King of the Hill section, then there is a flat mile then a 10km race down the hill back to the finish.

Paul Cook was first home again for the club managing to finally catch whippet Sharon Barlow on the final corner, to finish in a time of 1:22.52 for 46th place ahead of Dave McKenna in 1:29:50 for 165th position and Steve Elliott 1:37:40 for 569th..Steve running for ‘Dartford Harriers’ on the day.

Second claim runners Sharon Barlow and Tori Green finished 1st and 2nd respectively in 1:22:57 and 1:23:40 picking up cheques to the value of £500 and £250. Very nice, two excellent runners.
