We had three of our runners at the Osmotherley 20km race, an event which starts and finishes in the beautiful village of Osmotherley. The route takes runners out of the village on the Cleveland Way to the mast at Beacon Hill before heading back towards Cod Beck Reservoir. A short road section will take them to Square Corner… this is where the serious climbing begins, upwards onto the Black Hambleton Hills, where the views on a clear day will take your breath away for 3 miles before dropping back down towards Square Corner, returning to Osmotherley via the Cleveland Way.
On the day Heather Mochrie (1hr 49) was second lady at the Reeth 20k race in Swaledale ahead of David McKenna in 1hr 52 with Corinne Murray next over the line in 15th place in 1:54:23.
