Another smaller scale race to take place this weekend was the 5km trail race at Wynyard park where Barry Foster, Phil Teece, Janice Foster, Colin Taylor and Dave Hamer were amongst the field.As results have yet to be released this is an event which we will cover next week.

Four Harriers made the short trip to Bishop Middleham to take part in Gerry Kearsley handicap event which is based on competitors 10km times. The event is over multi terrain and free to enter. Nicola Young picked up the fastest woman trophy this year after posting the fastest time versus the time submitted. Well done

Sunday saw the 11th McTaggart Trot starting from Barton Village Hall. This fun run event sees teams of 3 compete over an eleven mile course out round Middleton Tyres before looping back to Barton. Runner one drops off at 4 miles while runners two and three run to the next check point at around 7.5
