Cardinal Hume School in Wrekenton was the venue on Saturday morning for this years North Eastern Cross Country Championship. Eight kilometres for the senior ladies and twelve for the senior men. Starting with the U17 girls, India Pentland stormed home in 1st place in the 6km but great performances from both Catherine Roberts (5th) and Amelia Grayson in 36th place.
In the ladies race Sue Phillips was first round in 39th place but excellent runs from all of our ladies Linda (61st), Val (67th), Nicky (128th), Sarah (150th), Janice (155th), Lyndsey (171st) and Catherine (194th).
In the U17 boys race we only had the one Harrier, Daniel Boyer who finished 23rd in his race while in the senior men’s race Drew Inglis was once again top dog finishing 27th ahead of Colin Taylor (42nd) and Paul Allan (77th). Other male performances included Phil Teece (153rd), Carl Eddon (204th) Andrew Harrison (242nd) Kevin Wilson (244th), Mark Tallon (264th) Graham Garvey (265th) and Andrew Neasham (320th).
Well done all Darlington Harriers who pulled on the vest and represented the club.
