Bleasby Does It At Auckland Castle
At this weekend’s Auckland Castle Trail race, it was one of our own who brought home the win on a course that is a little over 5 miles and features testing terrain with plenty of variation in conditions underfoot. Gateshead Trail 10K
Another soloist this weekend was Andrea Reese who headed to Gateshead to take on the 10km trail event. This event is described as an introductory level trail event that winds through Derwent Walk Country Park, both scenic and fast with PB potential. Hardmoors Result
Last week we told you that Lyndsey Foster and David Brown were in action at the Hardmoors Farndale races, well results for the event have now been released.Lyndsey finished 27th in the 10km (8.5m) race in 1hr 36:36 while David finished 14th in the 16 mile half marathon in 2:42:05.Well done both of you!
Happy Days at Branches and Bays
Sunday saw two of our athletes take on the Branches and Bays 10km race, which is part of the Urban Trails series of races by Trail Outlaws. It is set in a beautiful and historic area of County Durham. Starting in the local village of Hawthorn, the route takes you through the Durham Wildlife Trust
Wilson Flies Off Like A Rocket
Another race to occur mid-week was ‘The Rocket’, one part of the Darlington 5K Trail Series. This low key but popular series is right on the doorstep so ideal for club runners to get involved with on an evening. On the night it was young Dylan Wilson first home for the club in 8th place
Hardmoors Farndale Action
Lyndsey Foster and David Brown were in action today at the Hardmoors Farndale races. Competitors having the option of 10km (8.5m), Half Marathon (16m) or Marathon. McKenna On Show At Osmotherley
Another race to take place this weekend was the Osmotherley Fell race, a 5.5 mile race with over 1000 feet ascent, where we had 3 competitors taking part. Hamsterley 10km
Today we had three of our runners at the Hamsterley 10km race, an event that takes runners up before a quick descent back through the valley to the finish.Lee Hammond was first of our three across the line, finishing in 54:29 with Jen Harrison and Jo-Anne Tarn running together to finish in 75:42.Well done all!
Val Is Inclined To Madness
Val Clarke was the only Darlington Harrier running the midweek ‘Inclined to Madness’ race, an event which is around 10km but with a 375m ascent in the hills of North Yorkshire. Val had a great run finishing 74th in 68:32. Great work Val.
Can you Adam and Neve it?
Sarah Neve was the only Harrier in action at the 14km James Herriott race, A 14K run over moorland tracks and paths near Castle Bolton in Wensleydale in aid of Rotary charities.Sarah said this was the hardest race she has done with 358 metres of ascent Sarah did great finishing in a time of 104.52

Kevin Wilson let a large number of Harriers home at the midweeks Darlington Trail Series. The weather in Darlington during the week in excess of 40 degrees in some locations making running difficult for all competitors. Hardmoors Eston Nab Challenge
Deborah Jefferies was in action on Saturday at the Hardmoors Eston Nab Challenge. This course visits the stunning Eston Hills, steeped in history & include panoramic views of Industrial Teesside & the Cleveland Hills. Lyons Roar at Lord Stones 5k
We had four of our club members over at Lord Stones 5k race, which forms part of the Muddy Roads Summer Series 5km Trail Series. Harry Lyons was first home for the club in 26th place, with Andrew Neasham 60th, ahead of Brian Burdon in 139th and Deborah Jefferies in 148th. Well done all. 26
Andrea Has A Howl
Andrea Reese headed to Castle Eden today to run the 5k trail race, a race hosted by Run Peterlee.
