Andrea Reese headed to Castle Eden today to run the 5k trail race, a race hosted by Run Peterlee. Run Peterlee have adopted the ancient English logo, The White Wolf Of England – A sign of power, loyalty and freedom. The wolf often appeared engraved on helmets, swords and shields. The Castle Eden 5k route is otherwise known by the club as the White Wolf Run.
The route starts close to the Natural England Dene Lodge, winding around the edge of Castle Eden Dene on a undulating dolomite path. Then the route leads deep into Castle Eden Dene, twisting and turning through the ancient woodland before a challenging climb up Heart Attack Hill, back out of the dene.
Andrea finished 118th in 34:54 from 171 runners, well done Andrea.
