Last week we had another of our athletes in action at the 55km trail ultra marathon in Ambleside. The 55km Ultimate Trails Challenge is a testing 55km ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District.
The tough, challenging course lives up to its billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The 55km route also includes 3 mountain passes, with 7,000 ft ascent/descent along with 5 memorable feed stations… Something that peaked my interest!
Mike finished in an impressive 16th place in 7:26:59. Julian and Amanda Waller also competed in this event which we covered last week, finishing 184th and 185th.
