We had a small number of Harriers at the Derwentwater 10 mile race, a race which is described as being the most scenic in the UK. Alison Matthews took the honours for the club finishing 3rd in the ladies race, first V35 but good performances throughout. Full results can be found here
We saw another good turnout at the testing Richmond 10km race which has three testing climbs over the 6.22miles. Russell Adams our second claim runner was 5th overall which meant we had three of our runners in the top 10. Full results can be found here
This weekend saw a number of our athletes running one of the three events a Kielder, a set of scenic events that see competitors run either the 10km, half marathon or full marathon races. Paul Lowe was one of a small number of Harriers at tonight’s Cowpen Bewley 5km race and didn’t disappoint on the evening. In a good race Paul finished 4th in 18.45 while team mate Simon Rogers finished 7th in 19.40. Full results for all of our runners can be found here

We had three of our runners at this years Roseberry Topping Fell race. Roseberry Topping, was once considered the highest peak in North Yorkshire and due its dramatic shape draws comparison with the famous Matterhorn. Our three Harriers did great finishing 25th, Paul Lowe, 63rd, Jamie Baldasera and 94th, Neil Embleton. Footage of this race
Sunday saw a number of our club runners on the grounds of Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland, a 5mile (approx) trail race which has a bit of everything for runners. Some great results on the day from all. Full results can be found here
This week saw a small number of Harriers at the Ravenscar Rumble, a coastal fell race with free cake to tempt runners over the finish line. A scenic course of approximately 7.5km/4.7 miles with a 240m climb. We will cover this story once results have been released.

Midweek saw a handful of Harriers testing themselves out on the fells at the Whorlton Fell race in Swainby. The Whorlton Race is a fast start with the first few kms on the road as runners head up towards Whorlton Moor. On the way down towards Scugdale the route has a nice long 1 mile decent which
Sunday saw the Hadrians Wall half Marathon take place, a race which has pretty much everything. The race begins on path for a short stretch before taking runners across fields along Hadrians wall, crossing styles, gates and plenty undulation along the way including some hilly sections. Sunday saw Harriers head to Northallerton for the first ever 10km race. The race starts on Northallerton high street and takes runners out of the town into some of the most stunning country road views in North Yorkshire. This week saw the annual NYMAC relays, the 4 x 1mile event around Stewarts Park in Middlesbrough which is always popular amongst the running clubs. Another excellent night with loads of great performances throughout the club. Full results can be found here
Midweek saw some of our Senior Harriers head over to North Yorkshire Moors to take on the Roseberry Romp race, a race which is 5.1miles in length but has 1050ft climb over the distance so a tough one. Results still to be added here
Raby Castle was the destination this Sunday as huge turnout of Harriers tested their skills on the hilly and testing course around the grounds.
