Cook Sixth at Hadrians Wall

Sunday saw the Hadrians Wall half Marathon take place, a race which has pretty much everything. The race begins on path for a short stretch before taking runners across fields along Hadrians wall, crossing styles, gates and plenty undulation along the way including some hilly sections.

Once off the hilly section, the course then takes runners through a wooded trail section before back on the road and further rolling hills making this a very tough half to run.

From our runners on the day, it was Paul Cook who was first home, a late call to run after feeling unwell the previous evening saw Paul crossing the line in 6th place in 94:42.

Peter Armstrong was a few minutes behind in 97:19 for 13th. Dave McKenna finished 18th in 99:29, followed by Steve Elliott in 1:48:45 and Sarah Tomlinson first Harrier lady home in 125th in 2:01:58.

Some excellent displays on the day, with full results found here
