Another race to take place this weekend was Wynyard 5.9mile race, a race which is part of the Muddy Roads series. Brian Burdon was first home in 56:01in 96th place, Andrea Reese next home in 65:10 for 139th with Penny Ivison shortly behind in 70:19 for 157th.Well done. Folks.

Last week saw Darren Gee along with Amanda Waller take on the 23 mile challenge, One Foot in the Gargrave challenge from the village hall.First to finish was Darren Gee in J3rd in 3hrs 40 with Amanda Waller finishing in J22nd in 4hrs44 also for a podium place.Well done both of you.
Last Sunday saw the first race of the Cross Country take place at the Flatts, Thirsk. Results are now out which saw our ladies senior team take 3rd spot and the men in 6th. Great to see many Harriers making their debut on the day.
As reported last week Andy Campbell-Critchley was amongst the runners at the Acorn 5km race as he finished 6th behind 2nd claim runner Dean Newton.Results have now been confirmed, Dean taking the win in 16:55, Andy 20:18. Nicky Young wasn’t the only Harrier at last Saturday’s Snape 10km race after all. Janice Foster was our other Harrier in action, her first of two races of the weekend. Janice finished 42nd place on the day in 51:14.Well done ladies, good running.

Michael Cooper was involved in international events this weekend as he took the long flight to Montréal to take on first the Rock n Roll 5k on the Saturday which he completed in 24:38 and followed this up with the marathon on Sunday which he completed in 4:21:23.
