Under 15 Junior Harrier, Darcey Garbutt travelled to Wakefield last weekend to take part in the Douglas Bedford Memorial Open…..and it was well worth the journey, as she came away with two medals and two PB’s!
The gold came in the 75m Hurdles after a cracking run and a new PB of 12.31s. The silver followed in the 100m – not a PB this time but still an excellent time of 13.16. In the 200m she just missed out on a medal but achieved a new PB of 26.6s – just 0.4s off the English Schools entry standard! A fantastic overall performance. Well done Darcey

Under 13 Harrier, Ewan Rogers has been on top form recently with some cracking Parkrun appearances. Last weekend he entered the Darlington Junior Parkrun and beat his PB with a time of 8:45. Then this weekend he did the double! First up, on Saturday, was the full Darlington Parkrun where he improved his PB by a massive 2min 20secs with a new time of 24:36. Then straight out again on the Sunday, he entered Sedgefield’s Junior Parkrun and finished 3rd overall, setting a new PB of 9:15. Younger brother, Harry came home in 6th place in 9:31 which wasn’t a PB this time but still a great run nonetheless. A tremendous effort boys, keep up the good work!
