Paul Cook and Sharon Barlow decided to have a social run at the Muddy Boots 10km race at Ripon, a race which is predominately off road across fields, turn styles and grass. The pair finished the race in 11th and 12th position both crossing in 40.18 from the 437 runners on the day. Full results

Paul Cook was awarded the Parkrun league trophy for the second year running after amassing most points over the year at South Park. The parkrun league points are awarded for 100 for first across the line, 99 second and so on. There are also 100 points awarded for three weeks of volunteering.

Simon Rogers was first home at this Sunday’s Richmond Castle 10km race, a tough 10km race which sees runners tackle three tough climbs throughout the race before returning back to the town and into the castle for the finish. Paul Cook was first home at this years Darlington 10km in 51st position in a time of 36.55, a race which sees 1500 runners each year flock to the town to take on this fast but undulating race which finishes on High Row. Full results can be found here
Paul Cook was the only Harrier at the first Wakefield Half Marathon, with a route which is a bit different, challenging, it is still hilly, it is still Wakefield so hills, lanes and plenty fun. On the day Paul finished in 3rd place overall in around 1.24.
Paul Cook was the lone harrier who headed to Leeds to take on the 10km, four days after the midweek 5km at Silksworth Sunderland. This is an out and back type race finishing in Leeds City Centre. It was yet another warm day for racing. On the day Paul finished 55th in 37.48 from the
Three days after Gateshead 10km Paul Cook along with Simon Rogers and second claim Sharon Barlow headed to Silksworth for the evenings 5km. This race sees lots of quick runners from the area race around the parkrun route which has an exceptionally quick start although congested so position is crucial to obtaining a good time.
Paul Cook along with “Triathlete” Peter Armstrong were in action at todays Great North 10k, a race which starts outside of Gateshead stadium takes runners out and back before finishing inside the stadium. Paul finished 41st in 37.38 with Peter 272nd in 43.04. Second claim Sharon Barlow finished in an excellent 29th place in 36.29.
