Zoe Rogers was our only Harrier at the Dentdale 10mile race today. The Dentdale Run is a 14.2 mile, 332 yard road race staged on the roads and lanes around Dentdale, the Yorkshire Dales’s beautiful “secret” dale. Jade Hutchinson was in competition at the Inter Counties XC at Loughborough today as part of the U20’s North East team who finished first place on the day. jade finished in 70th place overall over the 6km event in 26.02.
Sunday saw some of our Harriers in action, at the Lightwater Valley 10km, a race which is undulating and has a little bit of everything with roads, trail paths and grass to start and finish the race. Paul Cook, making his return from injury finishe in 7th place with Kim first lady in 62nd position.
Dave Hamer was supporting the Stroke Society today by taking part in the Resolution Run. The events are open to everyone over the age of six and all abilities are welcome to take part. Participants can run, jog or walk the routes so it is the perfect event to get involved in. Well done Dave,
Mike King was in action this weekend at the White horse marathon tackling the hot weather conditions, the latest in the Hardmoors Marathon series. Mike finished 14th in 4hrs 40. Full results can be found here

Julian Pinkney and Den Dale were in Duathlon action this weekend at the ITU World Championship Qualifier at Stockton. Julian was first home of the two in 246th place with Den 259th less than two minutes behind. Full results can be found here
The Kielder Dark Sky 10k Trail race is held in the heart of the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park. Official results have yet to be released but we can confirm that Paul Lowe won the event while Graham Garvey looks like he had a bad episode…..
Danielle Clark was in action at the Great North West Half marathon, a race which is great for fast times….if you get the weather conditions right! This year looks to have been kind and Danielle finished the race in 2:07:28. For all results, click here
Saturday saw the return of the Hetton Lions 2.2mile relay event, an event which has women in teams of four and men teams of six completing the undulating route before passing the baton to their team mate. We saw ten of our Harriers at the first of three races that form part of the Run Billingham Series in 2017. The race is approximately 5 miles and is run at Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park, Billingham on a mix of terrain, including plenty of mud! The second race in the series is the Whitsun

Darlington Harriers will have a record-breaking 10 young athletes at the English Schools Cross-Country Championships. It was the return of the annual club handicap 5km race today, an opportunity for athletes to put forward some dubious 5km times to get a sneaky advantage on their team mates. We had a handful of our senior athletes at the Guisborough Woods Fell race today a race which covers 12.3miles of tough terrain including 2200ft of climbing. Some fantastic performances on the day from all of our Seniors. Full results can be found here
The weekend saw another good turnout of Harriers at Ripon Runners Jolly Holly Jog, a predominately cross country type race covering the 10km distance. Some excellent performances from all of our runners, Simon Rogers first home for the club in 14th place. Full results can be found here
Natalie Curgenven was our sole Harrier at the Boxing day EHH 10km run, a flat and fast event but on a cold winters morning. On the day super Nat finished 39th in 41.18 and 2nd lady on the day running alongside boyfriend Paul Clucas. Full results can be found here
