Julia Leach was our only Harrier in action at todays Maidenhead Easter 10 mile race. Julia finished this event in 1:49.36. Full results can be found here
Alison Matthews was in action this week in the Wild Bison 5km race in Alaska in minus 25 degree conditions! in typical Ali fashion she stormed to victory on the day. Well done Alison.
The club saw a good turnout of runners at the popular Marina 5 Mile race in Hartlepool. This is as out and back of a race as it comes with a 2.5mile out along the coast after a short run through a new housing estate, round a cone and back. Weather dependent this can be
Paul Allan and Steven Wilkinson were our only two competitors at the Port of Blyth 10km race, a flat and fast race which provides runner with a great opportunity to improve on their personal bests. Paul was first of the two to finish in 37th place with Steve 79th in 36:29 and 38:48 respectively. Full
Danielle Clark and her family took on the Chocathlon event, a 9 kilometre easy trail run/walk, feed stations stocked with CHOCOLATE! Run, walk or crawl your way around this chocolate themed event and eat chocolate while prizes are being handed out for 1,2,3rd place, best team name, best fancy dress as well as a medal
Today saw Harriers head to York for the flat and fast Vale of York 10 mile race, the little brother of the Half Marathon event. This race is perfect for anyone looking to achieve a personal best or get some speed work in over the distance. Full results can be found here
We had three of our runners involved in the Wensleydale Wander, an event where there is a choice of two circular walks, one a 23 mile challenge and a shorter one of 12 miles, both starting and finishing in Leyburn. Full results can be found here
An exciting introduction to the Dales Trail Series with testing ascents, spectacular ridge-running and fast technical descents. Now in its second year, this is a fully marked route which starts and finishes in Reeth, Swaledale. Results have been published here
Today saw the return of the Manchester marathon, a flat and fast marathon distanced race taking in all the local sights. Phil Teece was first home for the club in 2:58.06 and 4th in his age category with Val Clarke 6th in hers and Shirley Gibson 1st in hers. Good performances from all Harriers on
We had some of our runners at the popular Fountains Abbey 10km race at Ripon. Sharon Barlow was first home in 8th place overall, first lady in 40.48, quite a social run for her on the day. Full results can be found here
We had a small number of our track and field athletes at the Doncaster Spring Open. Mark Tallon was one of our medals winners on the day finishing in 63.98 seconds for the 400m in 3rd place. results have yet to be released but well done all athletes on your medals today.
Sunday saw another good turnout for the club on our home turf as the Harriers held the South Park 20 event, a 20 lap event around the towns largest park. Colin Taylor was first home for the club finishing in 3rd place with Paul Cook 6th. Full results can be found here

City of Durham Duathlon is an event based at Meadowfield sports centre, Durham. It consists of a 5km off road run, 25km road cycle and ending with another 5km off road run. Natalie Curgenven and Darren Gee were both involved in the event, full results here to see how they got on. Well done both.
We had a handful of runners at the James Herriott trail race, a race which is 14K (8.5 miles) over moorland tracks and paths, with stunning views over Wensleydale. Paul Cook was the only Harrier on show at the FalminGO Land 10km race, a race which sees competitors run 3 laps of the park (yes past the dinosaurs) mainly on path except for a km each loop which is on grass. Paul finished in 6th place in 37.12 despite being given a 30 second
It was another good showing from the club seniors at today’s Thirsk 10 mile race, a race which is an early test of fitness after the early months of endurance building. Today was a windy day making it tough for runners around the course. Paul Allan was first home for the club in 36th place
It was another case of around and around we go today at Locke Parke as our Harrier boys and girls took on the 10/20 mile race. The race is very flat and therefore very fast as competitors undertake 10 or 20 laps of the local park. Harrier results are listed below with full results here
