Fountains 10k

We had some of our runners at the popular Fountains Abbey 10km race at Ripon. Sharon Barlow was first home in 8th place overall, first lady in 40.48, quite a social run for her on the day. Full results can be found here

We had a handful of runners at the James Herriott trail race, a race which is 14K (8.5 miles) over moorland tracks and paths, with stunning views over Wensleydale. Lightwater Valley 10k

Sunday saw some of our Harriers in action, at the Lightwater Valley 10km, a race which is undulating and has a little bit of everything with roads, trail paths and grass to start and finish the race. Paul Cook, making his return from injury finishe in 7th place with Kim first lady in 62nd position.

Absent Friends (draft)

We saw ten of our Harriers at the first of three races that form part of the Run Billingham Series in 2017. The race is approximately 5 miles and is run at Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park, Billingham on a mix of terrain, including plenty of mud! The second race in the series is the Whitsun

We saw a small number of our senior runners at the Poultry Run at Loftus. The Loftus & Whitby Poultry Run has been held just before Christmas for over 30 years. It is a multi-terrain event and has built up a reputation as one of the friendliest and most fun events in the North East

Eureka, I think they got it!

We had a small number of Senior Harriers at the Eureka Fell Race today, a 8 mile race approximately with 1500 ft of ascent to tackle. The terrain varies from little tracks through the heather to rocky bridleways and muddy paths. Good results from our fab five today. Full results can be found here

Nat’s all right for me

Natalie Curgenven was our only competitor at todays Pathfinder 25 mile race, a circular walk mostly on open moorland, with some sections crossing farm land and a short stretch through Guisborough Woods. On the day Nat was first lady back. Official results have yet to be released.
