1-2-3 at Osmotherley 20k

We had a handful of our runners in action at the Osmotherley 20km race today. There are 2 distances, the long route of 20k and the short route of 12k. Both provide significant a challenge to those who like off-road, mixed terrain running. The area around Osmotherley provides some amazing running terrain, which this event takes full advantage of.

Osmotherley 20km race – Sharon Barlow-Hamilton (3rd lady), Dave Mckenna, Heather Mochrie (1st lady), Corrine Johnson Murray (2nd lady) and Steve Elliott.

The event starts and finishes in the beautiful village of Osmotherley. The route takes competitors out of the village on the Cleveland Way to the mast at Beacon Hill before heading back towards Cod Beck Reservoir. A short road section to Square Corner where the serious climbing begins on the long route, upwards onto the Black Hambleton Hills. Staying high for 3 miles before dropping back down towards Square Corner competitors then return to Osmotherley via the Cleveland Way.

Mike King was first home for the club with our club ladies making it a 1-2-3 on the day. Full results from today can be found here
