Up & Coming Events How do I?…. Race Results Sunday saw two of our Masters compete at the Indoor pentathlon and 3k championships in Sheffield. Andy Harrison competing in the Pentathlon clocked 12.7 in the 60m hurdles, 4.87m in the Long jump, 8.03m in the shot put, 1.37m in the high jump and 3.01.42 in
Race Results We had five of our Senior athletes head to Ribble Valley for Monday mornings 10k race, a race which included the North of England 10k Championships. The race itself is a fast one which attracts some very speedy competitors meaning a sub 34minute 10km may just scrape you in the top 100! Lee

Event organisers have had to get their thinking caps on over the last few weeks on how to provide a ‘virtual’ version of their particular event, rather than cancelling it altogether. Basically, competitors would run the event locally, adhering to all the social distancing guidelines required, then submit their results to the organisers for comparison
The day after Boxing Day we had the club Handicap race, an event organised predominantly by Ian Barnes and Lesley Miller, as a bit of post Christmas fun around the Blackwell grounds opposite South Park. Sunday saw the annual McTaggart Trot, an event which sees runners placed in teams of three (one 3.7mile runner, a medium paced 7.5mile runner and a longer distance runner covering 11 miles) who have to run through each checkpoint together, losing one runner at each point leaving the longer distance to the finish. Law Sunday saw the latest instalment of the NYSD Cross Country Season, a season which has to date seen really strong performance from both our Mens and Ladies teams. Today saw the first event of the 2019-2020 Cross Country season at Acklam, Middlesbrough.
