On Sunday morning at Middlesbrough, another large contingent of Harriers (over 80) were contesting the Tees Pride 10k, a one loop course known for it’s fast course so always PB potential. Another excellent turnout by the club, great work!
On Sunday morning on home turf, the Darlington Harriers were out in force as nearly 200 club runners pulled on their club vest to run in both the Darlington 3k and 10k races. We had a large number of athletes at the very popular Blaydon races, a 5.67m race from Newcastle City Centre to Blaydon, a race which always takes place on the 9th of June. Some fantastic performances on the day, Paul Allan first of the club runners across the line in 66th place in 32.15. Full
Roseberry Topping was once considered the highest peak in North Yorkshire and due its dramatic shape draws comparison with the famous Matterhorn. Sunday saw the next instalment of the club Grand Prix competition, Raby Castle 10km race. Today saw the return of the Manchester marathon, a flat and fast marathon distanced race taking in all the local sights. Phil Teece was first home for the club in 2:58.06 and 4th in his age category with Val Clarke 6th in hers and Shirley Gibson 1st in hers. Good performances from all Harriers on

We had a huge turnout at the clubs home race, the pitstop 10km which takes place at Croft race circuit and sees competitors undertake 3 laps of the race.
