We had a small number of Harriers at the scenic off-road handicapped race. The route of approximately 6.5m is on beautiful paths around Hardwick Park and Bishop Middleham. Results can vary depending on what estimated time is provided by the runner but full results from the day can be found here
Darren Stockdale and David Aiken were in action this weekend at the Ilkley Moor 8 mile race. The 6.9 out-and-back route takes in tracks through woodland, fields and moors, interspersed with some short road sections. This week saw the annual NYMAC relays, the 4 x 1mile event around Stewarts Park in Middlesbrough which is always popular amongst the running clubs. Another excellent night with loads of great performances throughout the club. Full results can be found here
Midweek saw some of our Senior Harriers head over to North Yorkshire Moors to take on the Roseberry Romp race, a race which is 5.1miles in length but has 1050ft climb over the distance so a tough one. Results still to be added here
We had three of our athletes in action at the Clay Bank fell race, a short 4.2mile race but with over 1000 feet climb over the distance, a tough event. Dave McKenna finished 31st ahead of Natalie Curgenven in 35th and Darren Stockdale in 52nd. Full results can be found here
On Wednesday evening we saw another good turnout at the Neptune 4 stage relays, an event which is ran by Sedgefield Harriers around Hardwick park. Each leg is around 1.7miles. Sunday saw the first full distance Cross Country event of the season, taking place at Whitby. This is a great race with a mix of trail and predominately grass around the course and one steep hill which when the weather is bad, a rope is placed on the hill to assist people to the top….three

On Easter Sunday Darren Stockdale flew the flag for the club at the Guisborough Three Tops fell race completing the approx. 8 mile course in 1hr 45. Full results are here (not the right race)
The rebirth of the Darlington Harrier Senior section at the Darlington 10k 2015. A year earlier only 12 seniors turned out for the home race to around 70 a year later. This race sees competitors complete two laps of the course before bringing runners back along Skinnergate and onto High Row for the Grandstand finish. Full results can
Darlington Harriers made a return to the Elswick Good Friday Relays. The team made up of Darren Stockdale, Mark Tallon, Jamie Rutherford and Drew Inglis took a solid midfield place 33 out of 62 senior men’s team in a race which, including veterans teams, saw 108 men’s teams take part over the 2.2 mile course.
