Winter Conditions for North East XC

Sedgefield was the location for this years North East Cross Country Championships. The morning was quite mild, sun shining and a gentle run round parkrun was in order to test my achillies injury out before attempting the late mornings cross country. It turned out that this was very fortunate for me (Paul Cook) as within an hour of calling club captain Mark Tallon to advise that I unfortunately had to pull out as the achillies wasn’t quite right still, the snow started to fall….and continue to fall throughout the day, the contrast between morning and late morning couldn’t have been any further apart making the conditions extremely tough for the runners involved. Phew!
