Whorlton run (draft)

We had a bigger turnout this week at the Whorlton Fell race after good feedback from the runners the previous year. Once again some excellent results on the evening. The mens team claimed 1st prize on the evening, Paul Lowe being first home for the club in 5th supported by Paul Allan and Garry Collinson.

Ossy Oiks fell race

We had a small number of Harriers at the Ossy Oiks Fell Race, a race which is classed as AS which means it’s a short course with steep climbs with most of the race on the Cleveland Way. Paul Lowe picked up 4th place on the evening with Natalie Curgenven 2nd lady on the night.

Anniversary Waltz (draft)

The Anniversary Waltz race was set up by fell runners Wynn and Steve Cliff, to commemorate their wedding at Newlands Church in the Lake District. Back on Home Soil

Colin Taylor was one of the Harriers on show tonight at the first NYSD event of the year, taking part in the 1500m race here at Eastbourne. On the evening Colin finished in a time of 4:43.5 for 5th place covering all age groups. Full results can be found here

We saw a small number of our senior runners at the Poultry Run at Loftus. The Loftus & Whitby Poultry Run has been held just before Christmas for over 30 years. It is a multi-terrain event and has built up a reputation as one of the friendliest and most fun events in the North East

Derwentwater 10

We had a small number of Harriers at the Derwentwater 10 mile race, a race which is described as being the most scenic in the UK. Alison Matthews took the honours for the club finishing 3rd in the ladies race, first V35 but good performances throughout. Full results can be found here
