Paul Cook was the only Harrier at this years Marathon of the North 10km, Sunderland. A race which is in the main flat with a few climbs and one which was going well for Paul until a calf tear shortly after this photo was taken put paid to a better finish position and time. Paul

Two days after running a new PB of 37.32 at the Mermaid 10km and a day after a 18.17 at parkrun Paul Cook was racing again, this time at North Tyneside at their 10km race. This time he took 12 seconds off his best finishing 39th from the 1500 runners in a time of 37.20.
On Good Friday there was only two Harriers at New Marske’s Mermaid 10km race, a race which starts from the back of the Mermaid pub, takes runners through the streets of new Marske before two loops around the sea front and back towards the finish line which is pretty much a 3km straight. Paul Cook
Paul Cook was the only Harrier at this years Bath half marathon, a race which sees runners complete two loops of the mainly flat and fast course. Paul finished in 83.59 in position 346th from over 11,000 finishers taking off 10 minutes from his previous best. Full results can be found here
A fundraising 10km race to help injured servicemen and woman take part in extreme sporting challenges has been hailed a success. Ellie Phillips was one of a number of Harriers at the Junior Great North Run this weekend. Some really impressive results, no more so than Ellie who finished 2nd in her age group in 17.56. Impressive displays by all our junior contingent. Full results can be found here
Andy Woodward and Kieran Maxwell were two club representatives playing their part in the torch relay which forms part of the London Olympics this year. An absolute honour for both Andy and Kieran. More details of the relay can be found here

We had some of our Harriers involved in an ‘All Cleveland Bridge’ employee at Woburn Abbey, Bedford. This event hosted by the Duke of Bedford, was a half marathon relay. Harriers Leslie Walker ran the first leg of one mile followed by Tony, before passing to Harrier’s John Brant then Wayne Bramley before passing the baton
