Four of our junior athletes have been selected for the North East team at the inter counties challenge fixture on 2nd July in the Costello Stadium, Hull. Saturday represented another exciting return to trail running with the Lakeland Trails Staveley 17km. It’s a stunning and challenging course, set in the Kentmere valley. The infamous ‘Sting in the Tail’ that is Reston Scar, at around 15.5km, is a killer. Results have yet to be released for this one.

The half marathon race, which the 10km event starts half way in, starts from Ravenscar Village Hall situated 700 feet above sea level, overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors National Park and midway between Whitby and Scarborough, the route

On Wednesday evening at Ellerton, we had three of our athletes in action in the Triathlon. Some excellent performances on the night including an impressive 2nd place from Alison Matthews and Jade Hutchinson 4th. Results from all of these events can be found here

Andrea Reese was the only Harrier at this years Pier 2 Pier race in Sunderland, a race which sees competitors starting and finishing on the beach but having to run around 7 miles to the finish point with no set route. It’s a great race and lots of fun for all competitors. Andrea finished the
Daniel Wright was in Aquathon action this weekend, a great event for those triathletes who don’t own a bike as it misses out the cycling element. Daniel finished 35th in a combined time of 34.33 Full results can be found here
