Matt Capsey was in Hardmoors action again this weekend…and this time it was the 110 Ultamarathon which follows the dramatic Cleveland Way National Trail encircling the North Yorkshire Moors and the Cleveland Heritage coastline. Starting from Filey, it finishes at Helmsley after 110 miles and 6,000 metres of cumulated elevation gain. Matt did superb finishing
Club Development Officer Paul Cook has been working with current energy supplier, Future Energy around sponsorship. One of the pieces of equipment that we have been short of is a club tent due to our growing numbers. Hopefully this new acquisition can keep our runners and supporters a little warmer over the winter period!
We gad three of our runners in action today at the Upper Eden Mountain Yomp. The Full Yomp Race (38k, 1300 metre height gain) starts with a 11am mass start at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School and heads South out of town and past Wharton Hall, continuing over Wild Boar Fell and on to Swarth Fell
David Aiken, along with girlfriend Rebecca headed to the hills again to taken on the Lakeland marathon. Although results have yet to be released, results will be published here
David Aiken was our runner at the Glaisdale Rigg Fell race, in Guisborough. The route is a mix of county lanes, muddy paths over the moors, and hard core bridleways. There is enough moorland running to make a good grippy trail shoe or fell shoe essential. Full results can be found here
Malcolm Dunn was the only Harrier competing in the Welcome Ultra race, part of the Punk Panther Race Series Ultras which all start in Otley, West Yorkshire and finish in Pool-in-Wharfedale, West Yorkshire. Each race is a minimum of 50K and are run over a variety of challenging courses in West and North Yorkshire visiting

Kim Reeve was the lone Harrier at the Kirbymoorside 10km race today. The route undulates around the North Yorkshire countryside starting and finishing, of course, in Kirkbymoorside. It takes in the local villages of Gillamoor and Fadmoor before returning on a fast downhill finish to the town centre where cheering crowds are waiting to great
We had a handful of runners at the Washington trail 10k race this weekend which is part of the Outlaw Trail Series. Some excellent results throughout the field with Barry Foster first Harrier home for the club. Full results can be found here
