A number of Harriers were first to kick of the weekends activities in Amsterdam, as they took on the marathon. David Aiken was in action twice this weekend as he first competed in the Lakeland trails race at Helvellyn, 15km of wind and wet conditions. David finished this in 1hr 22:28, a warm up event to the Ullswater event on Sunday. David finished in an excellent 1hr 33 in the 14km race and his girlfriend
At last Sunday’s Stockton trail race we had nine athletes in action. Shaun Marshall was first across the line in 4th place in 18:32 with all nine athletes finishing in the top one hundred. Well done all
At last weeks Chester marathon we reported that we had five of our runners in action……well make that seven! Linda Reeves and Laura Clarke’s name appeared in the results…talk about flying under the radar!! Some excellent performances from all runners, well done, fantastic achievement
As reported in Last weeks report Darren Gee and Mark Haymer were both in action at the Kielder marathon…well so was Cath Robson! A scenic course and three fantastic individual performances to match. Well done the three of you!
Another Harrier in action last week was Darren Stockdale who was tackling the Gormire Gamble, one of the Esk Valley Fell races, a 11km run from Sutton Bank visitor centre. Darren completed this tough little run in 57:08. Well done Darren.
Last week we reported that Alison Matthews was in action on Sunday at Hartlepool’s Fit Run 10k Trail race…well she wasn’t the only Harrier on show. Alex Bos finished in 27th place in 1:03:51.2 whilst Alison finished 5th in 49:00.6.

Sunday morning also saw a number of Harriers head to the hilly Richmond 10k. A tough race by anyone’s standards with a few tough climbs throughout the 6.2miles making this a non PB course.
