Race Results

On January 2nd we had two of our Seniors competing at the Greener Miles Hamsterley Half marathon, a scenic place to do any kind of running! Only 3 places and 2 minutes separated our two on the day with Jared Holdcroft finishing in 116th place ahead of Lee Hammond in 119th.

Sunday saw the next instalment of the NYSD Cross Country season this time at Ormesby Hall. Despite missing many seniors on the day there was some superb results throughout the age groups no more so than the Under 15 girls who dominated the top 4 in their race.

Fab 4 – Tori, Freya, Savannah and Zara

James l’anson and Sascha Patterson both secured podium places in the U11 races while Rowan Steel won his U13 race and supported by Daniel l’anson and Finn Pentland-Rice in 3rd and 4th respectively. Lottie Greaves was also a winner on the day in the u13 girls race with Sylan Tarn 3rd in the U15 boys.

Marissa Boon

Ben Buckley was 3rd U17 in the boys race while Marissa Boon equalled his feat in the senior ladies race who took the team win alongside Amy Pickworth (5th), Macy Kelly (6th) and Bernadette Caygill (7th). James Largey was 4th in the senior mens race with Graham Bell 4th in the V65 race. Plenty good performances not mentioned here but full results can be found here Well done everyone who ran. More photos of the day can be found here

Graham Bell leads the way

Sunday saw the return of the TNT (Temple Newsam Ten), a race which has plenty ups and downs as the course takes competitors off road. Plenty mud for everyone to get stuck into but definitely an excellent event for those who haven’t tried this before. Steven Wilkinson was first male over the line for the club in 73.08 with Jade Hutchinson close on his heels in 74.10. Good running from all Harriers, results listed below.
