Some fantastic individual and team performances, full results from the day can be found here and photos here
Here’s a few photos from the day.
We had a small number of our Senior harriers competing at the X Border 10km race, a race which sees competitors running between Scotland and England. This is the 12th year that this event has taken place and seems to be getting more and more popular. Barry Bell was first of the group to finish in 44.07 and just outside the top 10 V50’s. Rebecca Forest was fastest lady to finish on the day for the club in 119th position in a time of 45.06 and 3rd V50. Good performances from all our runners.

The club hosted the (NEMAA) Masters XC at Croft on Saturday so big thank you to everyone who was in a position to support Ian Barnes with setting up the course or marshalling on the day. The women and V65+ men competed over 6km (approx) with the Senior men (35-64) 8km with each lap being approx 2km.
Ian Barnes was our only competitor finishing in 36th place, in a race with people over 35 years his junior! To be competing at 88 years of age is just incredible and a credit to how he has looked after himself and trained correctly over the years. Huge respect Ian, well done.

John Clifford was our only competitor at the Dewsbury 10km this weekend, a fast event which sees runners head out for the first 3miles which is a slight gradual climb before turning and running back down the way you came enabling runners to pick up the pace in the second half of the race. John finished in an excellent 63rd place in 33:36 and 1st of the 184 V50’s racing. Top dog again John!
