Race Results
Wednesday saw the annual Darlington Awards Night return for the 48th year take place at the Darlington College. The town is filled with so many talented sports people across many activities so it was fantastic to see some of our current athletes and coaches be recognised for their achievements. Full story can be found here but congratulations to all or club winners and nominees as well as all other people listed below. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves.

- Primary Sports Achiever: Winner – Tinashe Kushamba for achievements in athletics, football and gymnastics. Runners-up – Pennie Maddison and Luke Frankland. Highly commended – William Oliver, Emily Doswell.
- Adult Club Sports Achiever: Winner – Laurie Cummings, for achievements in veterans’ athletics; Highly Commended – Brian Martin and John Clifford.

The weekend saw the Start Fitness Northern Cross Country Championships take place in Blackburn with clubs throughout the North sending athletes to compete. In the U13 girls race Matilda Owens was first home in 38th place ahead of sister Charlotte in 54th position. Grace Robinson-Tregear was next home in 79th place with Freya Boon 111th in a large field. In the boys race Rowan Steel finished in an impressive 10th place, supported by Matthew Foster in 27th, Lucas Rogers in 52nd and Donovan Tarn in 79th.
We had two girls competing in the U15 race, Savannah Tarn was the first across the line in 45th position only 5 places and six seconds ahead of Freya Talman who continues to make strides after a recent illness.
Macy Kelly was our only athlete in the U17 womens race finishing 28th in 23.06 while Marissa Boon finished her Junior race in 36th in 26.26.
