A few hours after finishing Vale of York Half marathon, Simon Rogers, Paul Cook and Sharon Barlow were back in action at the Thirsk relays to support the team at the first Cross Country event of the season. A great turnout across all age groups on the day. Full results can be found here
Sharon Barlow, who is currently running as a second claim runner with the club, represented Northern Ireland at their Masters Open XC event back in October of this year. Sharon, an exceptional runner finished 1st in 22.31 on that day and followed this up with a 7th place finish at the British and Irish Masters
Sue Phillips was in action at the British and Irish XC International at the Queens University Playing Fields in Belfast this weekend, finishing 55th in 24:56 in a high quality field. Full results can be found here
Here’s one from the archives, Sue Phillips wearing the club colours in probably her first ever Cross Country event. By Sue’s own admission the form is questionable but maybe she’s giving someone a back hander to stop her going back up that hill at Whitby. Still going strong and breaking records.
