We had a handful of our Harriers at the Lambton 10k (approx.) race. Mixed Terrain 3k (approx.) Family Fun Run This run is suitable if you are a serious runner or simply want to take part in a fun event. Sunday saw Harriers head to Northallerton for the first ever 10km race. The race starts on Northallerton high street and takes runners out of the town into some of the most stunning country road views in North Yorkshire. This week saw the annual NYMAC relays, the 4 x 1mile event around Stewarts Park in Middlesbrough which is always popular amongst the running clubs. Another excellent night with loads of great performances throughout the club. Full results can be found here
We had four of our members at the Ravenscar half marathon and 10km this weekend. The Half marathon race is billed as a 13.1 mile challenging off road half marathon, starting from Ravenscar Village Hall (midway between Whitby and Scarborough) situated 700 feet above sea level and overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors
Wet would be the best word to describe this event. The Sunderland Run events are always exceptionally well organised, probably something to do with Steve Cram having a major part to play in affairs but one thing that could not be organised is the weather.
