There was more schools cross country action recently in Stockton and one of our Under 13 all rounders was in the thick of it. Libby Hammond was representing the Ian Ramsey C of E Academy in the Stockton Town XC Championships, and even though she was struggling with a knee injury (note the bandage!), with that typical Libby grit and determination, she managed to finish the clear winner! What a champ! She will now go on to represent Stockton in the Cleveland County Championships in the New Year.
If that wasn’t enough, she was also part of her Year 7 school team that competed in the Stockton Sports Hall Athletics competition. They won gold and will now represent the town at the Tees Valley Sports hall Championships.
Some fantastic results there, Libby, congratulations and keep up the good work – and let us know how you get on in the next round of both competitions!
