Huge congratulations go out to twin brothers and junior Harriers, Adam and John Russell. They were nominated by their endurance coach, Bernadette Caygill for the Rising New Talent category as part of the Northern Echo Local Heroes Awards. They made it to the finalists shortlist, up against two others and unfortunately, were just pipped at the post by a golfer!
They had a great night though and even managed to get a photo with another Local Hero, Steve Cram! He chatted with the boys and was happy to pass on a good few words of advice and inspiration.
