As well as a keen member for Darlington Harriers, our Under 17 throwing maestro, Rosie Thompson, is also a member of the RAF Air Cadets.
As a Cadet she gets the chance to participate in several sports, one of them being her beloved athletics. Last Sunday she was competing in Blackburn at the regional finals, taking part in the discus and shot putt where she excelled as always; in fact she did the double!
Yes! Two golds to add to her ever growing collection of medals, including a PB of 8.60m for the 4kg shot. She will now go on to compete at the National UK Finals in Grantham later this year. We look forward to letting you know how she gets on. Congratulations Rosie, another fantastic performance.
