The school cross country season continued again last week with many of our Junior Harriers in action. As always, they stood out from the crowd with some tremendous performances leading to impressive results…..
Emma Hart ran for Northallerton School in the Hambleton and Richmond area trials. Up against the snow and blizzards, as well as the other competitors, Emma managed to win her race and qualify for the North Yorkshire County Schools championships in January.
Darlington Harriers’ strength shone through as Jess Hall, Anna Reeves and Peta Collins finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Stockton District Cross Country Championships. A fantastic effort from all, and qualification to the Cleveland County Championships in January.
Two more junior Harriers also running at Stockton and qualifying for the Cleveland County Champs were Gabby Hall, who won her race “by a country mile,” and Jacob Rutter – both in Year 7. An excellent start to their senior school cross country running!
Congratulations to you all!!
