Three of our Under 13 Juniors Boys took part in one of the many Easter athletics events last week. Alex Boyer, Dan Richardson and Louis Brett took part in an individual and team 1.6k run as part of the Elswick Good Friday Relays up against some of the best runners in the North East.
They all put in a tremendous performance in a field of 60 athletes. Alex was the first of our boys to cross the line in 6th place in 8:49, with team mates Dan and Louis not far behind. Dan finished in 8th place in 9:19, and Louis in 10th place in 9:27.
The lads did the Harriers proud, and with all three of them finishing in the top 10, they also came 2nd in the team event behind Morpeth (whose athletes finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th individually).
Alex and Louis are both 1 year young so we will hopefully be back to have another go at winning the U13 team event next year. We’re looking forward to that one already! Well done lads, a fantastic performance once again!
