How do I?…

Get Involved

We want to see the club colours at all of our events, especially team events such as relays, National, Northern or North-Eastern where we can get together as a group, support each other and make these events a social occasion. So let me introduce you to our Senior Club Captains… Please get in touch if you’d like to try Track & Field, Cross Country or take part in any team relays!

In addition to athletes, we are always looking for volunteers to support club and local events so please reach out to Sarah Johnson as your first point of contact if you can support in any way shape or form.

Our Monthly Mile dates are listed below. These events can only go ahead with club members volunteering to help on the night. If you can assist, please contact Jamie Callaghan, Barry Foster or Lesley Miller. Thank you! #UTH

Race 1 event will start at 6.30pm to maximise better light

Don’t forget you can support the club by registering for the easyfundraising app and helping the club raise money. This is simple to do, download the App, link to the club then clicking on the easyfundaising app prior to making your online purchases (It’s only one additional step in the process.

Race Result

We had a trio of crazy people running the Hardmoors 55mile race this weekend, a race which  starts at Guisborough and follows the scenic Hardmoors110/Cleveland Way route towards Helmsley with a few slight changes along the way. The route passes over the crest of the North York Moors and the Cleveland Hills taking in Roseberry Topping and the  ‘Three Sisters’ before reaching the finish at the Market town of Helmsley. WIll Seekins was first of the three to finish in a speedy 10hrs 50, veteran Ultra runner Mark Milner in 12hrs 44 with Jamie Baldasera 14hrs 14. Incredible achievements by you all.

Shirley Gibson was our only athlete at the Locke Park races on Sunday, taking on the 10 miler. After 10 dizzy laps of the park, Shirley finished in 16th place in 1hr 40. Amazing running Shirley!

Colin Taylor would have been pleased to see Chris Fothergill return to fitness just in time for the Darlington Trail event, the Baydale Beck 10km. Chris won the 10km trail race but Colin managed to stay close finishing 2nd on the day. Well done lads.

Catherine Anderson and Phil Doonan were getting the sun cream on this weekend at the Malaga Half marathon, a flat and fast course and ideal for a fast time. Phil was first around in 1hr 48 while Catherine crossed the finish line in 2hrs 3mins. Well done both of you!
