Our Under 15 super sprinter, Charlotte Rutter has been in action again recently – indoor events as you would expect at this time of year.
Firstly, Charlotte took part in the England Athletics Indoor Championships at Sheffield on 25th Feb. She achieved an excellent qualifying time in the 60m hurdles, and came 2nd in her heat. She progressed to the semi final but just missed out on making the final. There was an amazing standard of competition with some of the country’s best young athletes in action. Charlotte, as you’d expect, loved every minute of it having a brilliant experience!
Then last Sunday, she entered the England and Northern Combined Event Championships at Sheffield – two events running simultaneously. Charlotte performed to her usual high standard throughout the day setting a new PB in the shot putt of 8.83m along the way. In the end, she came 6th in the Northern competition and 20th overall. A tremendous result…..and the icing on the cake? A new pentathlon PB of 2,571 points, ranking her 30th in the UK for Under 15 indoor pentathlon!! Well done, Charlotte, another fantastic performance!
