Only 71 runners turned for the Run Hamsterley Santa Dash 7km trail event on Sunday morning in the heart of Hamsterley Forest. The route follows a waymarked trail path for competitors to follow and runners encouraged to wear fancy dress on the day.
Of our three ladies it was Shirley Gibson our F70 who was first to cross the line in 36th place picking up the 1st F60+ category in the process. Dana Birkett was next home in 54th place three places ahead of Penny Ivison.
