Roseberry Topping was once considered the highest peak in North Yorkshire and due its dramatic shape draws comparison with the famous Matterhorn. We had some of our seniors in action at the North East Masters AA League in Jarrow, and how great it was to see our jumps coach Angela Richings return to action after a long period of retirement. Angela finished 2nd in the High Jump in 1.30m and then 5th in the Long Jump in

Four of our junior athletes have been selected for the North East team at the inter counties challenge fixture on 2nd July in the Costello Stadium, Hull. Saturday represented another exciting return to trail running with the Lakeland Trails Staveley 17km. It’s a stunning and challenging course, set in the Kentmere valley. The infamous ‘Sting in the Tail’ that is Reston Scar, at around 15.5km, is a killer. Results have yet to be released for this one.

Danielle Clark was the only Harrier in action at the Ravenscar 10km race. The half marathon race, which the 10km event starts half way in, starts from Ravenscar Village Hall situated 700 feet above sea level, overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors National Park and midway between Whitby and Scarborough, the route

On Wednesday evening at Ellerton, we had three of our athletes in action in the Triathlon. Some excellent performances on the night including an impressive 2nd place from Alison Matthews and Jade Hutchinson 4th. Results from all of these events can be found here
