A Sunday morning a number of Harriers headed to Northumberland to take on the renamed Port of Blyth 10km, a flat and fast race which takes runners from Blyth Quayside to Seaton Sluice and back, along public footpaths and cycle ways.
This course is another which is renowned for giving runners an opportunity of a new personal best, and for one of our two runners it didn’t disappoint. Steve Wilkinson who is in great form of late only smashing his 10km time at the Mermaid on Good Friday went one better by going sub 38 for the first time finishing in 37:50 51 seconds and 11 places a head of Peter Armstrong who will be disappointed with his effort on the day.
Two great times gentleman, well done, good preparation for London marathon.
