Last weekend saw our men and women’s team in action again at the next instalment of the Cross Country Season, in Whitby. This race is mainly on the grass with a small amount of gravel track to run across and a short and sharp hill,which in poor conditions can sometimes require a race to support runners up it. In the women’s race point scorers Louise Talman, Jade Hutchinson, Linda Noble and Amy Pickworth saw them finish in an impressive 2nd place only 2 points behind New Marske the eventual winners, supported again by strong performances by the remainder of our ladies section.
The mens team finished 5th on the day despite the 6 counters, Wes Tarn, Paul Allan, Ben Potter, Tom Leighton, Paul Lowe and Barry Talman finishing in the top 46 positions. Both teams looking very strong with some reinforcements due back in the next race.
