On New years day we had two of our runners competing at the Hardmoors 30 race. The route is a circular following the old railway lines north between Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby before heading southwards along the Cleveland Way to Robin Hoods Bay and then re-joining the old Railway lines passing through Ravenscar along the way to Hayburn Wyke.
Leaving Hayburn Wyke the route heads northwards along the Cleveland Way back to Robin Hood’s Bay with a slight sting in the tail for the last hundred or so metres.
Hard-core runners Mark Milner and Kim Reeve were our duet who finished within two places of one another. A very tough race, especially if you’ve had a good New Years Eve!! Mark Milner was first home for the club finishing in 55th place in 6:01:30 with Kim Reeve 57th in 6:05:53.
Well done both of you…impressed that you were even out of bed!
