PB’s At The BMC For Junior Harriers

There was a sack full of PB’s for some of our young athletes at Monday’s British Milers’ Club meeting at Chester-le-Street. This week they were all 1500m races, and as ever, there were some top performances from our endurance experts. Here’s how they got on….

Adam Russell is on fire at the moment. In a mixed age race , he was the 1st Under 15 to cross the line in a tremendous time of 4:22.36 and a new PB.

Not far behind, finishing in 4:26.31 was Liam Brittle – someone else who’s on top form, and another PB in the bag. Great stuff boys, well done.

Next up was India Pentland and Adam’s brother, John Russell in another mixed race.

India was just a few seconds down on the fantastic PB she ran at the Watford BMC meeting last week; still a very respectable time though of 4:34.26.

John finished just behindIndia in 4:34.32 which was an excellent PB for him. Well done to both.

Lucy-Erin Hunter ran in the next race and, although a little slower than her PB, it was a Season’s Best of 4:40.32. Well done Lucy-Erin.

Ellie Phillips was the first Under 17 across the line in her race. A great run, just beating her time in the North East Championships by 0.01s, and a new PB of 4:49.22. Well done, Ellie.

And finally, Emma Hart, who came 2nd in her race, but the 1st Under 17. Not quite a PB this time but still a very respectable 5:04.06. Well done, Emma.
