Yes, you did read that correctly…..Darlington Harriers can proudly announce, we have our very own World Champion!! Massive congratulations go out to India Oates who was competing at the CPISRA World Games last week, in Sant Cugat, Spain.
India was representing England, taking part in the T35 100m and 200m. She’s been training hard all year for the event and it has certainly been worth all that effort. She came away with two gold medals after finishing 1st at both distances, and even managed a new PB of 16.14 in the 100m final!
A tremendous effort, India. Well done from all of us here at Darlington Harriers. We look forward to seeing that bling!! Hopefully, in a few years time she’ll be the proud owner of her first Paralympics medal!
