New Head Torch For Gabby

A Pie and Pea supper waiting for you at the end of your race is enough to spur on the slowest of runners. According to race organisers, Muddy Roads, “these pies are bursting at the seams with delicious fillings. You will certainly be getting a PB to get your hands on one of these beauties!”

Sounds great! Not that our junior harrier, Gabby Hall needs much motivation. This is the second night trail Gabby has competed in; last time round her head torch was a bit loose, so she got a new one in preparation for this event which was a perfect fit!

Once again she ran the circuit with coach, Phil Teece, and paced herself beautifully. She looked really strong in the last 1k, passing others (mainly adults) and not getting passed herself. She crossed the line in 23:06 as the 2nd female to finish, with only DHAC senior team mate, Alison Matthews in front of her.

Well done, Gabby! Another one to add to your ever growing list of successful runs. Hope you enjoyed the pie and peas

Gabby and Phil settle down to a well deserved supper!
