On Friday Evening, the club held it’s Mile Night at Shildon Athletic stadium, an event masterminded by Club Chairman, Mark Tallon. The weather couldn’t have been better for the nights graded races making racing great for all competitors.
The atmosphere was superb on the night with many spectators coming along from a variety of clubs in addition to some cracking music from the evenings DJ, Steve Gordon!
Fantastic night of racing with some really impressive battles in a number of races.
Adam Mitchell’s effort in the final nights race taking second place after an epic battle in the final 100m with Tyne Bridge Harriers, Sparrow Morley clocking the clubs fastest time of the night but a number of superb performances in each race, including Shaun Marshall’s first place after another last 100m battle with former Harrier Leon Reeve and Wes Tarn’s third place who accelerated away from his younger competitors.
Fantastic night, one which everyone should be proud of
