In preparation for next week’s English Schools Finals, Liam Brittle took part in another steeplechase last weekend.
As second counter for Gateshead again, he ran at York University in the YDL League, finishing in an excellent 2nd place. He was only beaten by five hundredths of a second, in a time of 4:53.4 which was a new PB.
Well done, Liam, keep up the good work…..and best of luck for the ES Finals!
India Pentland just keeps getting better and better. Last week she was competing at the Leeds BMC meeting in the 800m.
Conditions were windy, so not ideal for beating PB’s, however she managed to knock nearly a second off hers making her new PB 2:12.3.
This took her to 14th in the UK rankings, and just 3 seconds off the European junior qualifying time!
That was last week….and on Saturday night she competed at another BMC Grand Prix, this time at Eltham.
Competing in the 800m again, she improved on her PB yet again, her new time now standing at 2:11.03, taking her to 9th in the UK rankings.
Outstanding performances, India, well done!
