The roar of the engine was replaced by the pounding of feet last week as athletes, young and old, ran round a different kind of race track.
The annual ‘Pitstop Festival’ attracted hundreds of competitors to Croft Circuit for a choice of 10k, 5k, 2k junior run and wheelchair race.
As you can see from the photo above, there was a good turnout of juniors on the starting grid, all waiting for the lights to turn green!
It was a very warm, muggy evening so the athletes had to re-fuel with plenty of water provided by the helpers positioned around the circuit, but it was a night full of fun and impressive performances, without any punctures, collisions or spinning off into the gravel!!
Well done to all that took part.
