Harriers light up Beacon

On Sunday morning at Redcar we had a number of runners who decided to opt for the Beacon 5km run instead of the mornings half marathon.

A fast out and back course for those who prefer something a little less mileage. Some great performances with a number of category podium places on the day.

Well done all of you.

Also taking place on Sunday morning was the Redcar half marathon where again we had a number of athletes in action.

The course itself is as flat as you will find however weather can and generally always is a factor on the sea front best laid plans can quickly be thrown out of the window.

The one (and probably only other good point of running around Redcar putting aside post race fish and chips and or lemon tops) is that because the course is in a kind of figure of eight runners should benefit at two parts of the route even if wind is against them in the other two.

A great set of results by everyone on show, some personal, and seasons bests amongst these set of results but well everyone who ran on the day.
